About me
I’m passionate about language, machine learning and creating value with AI that is meaningful, improves our lives and benefits society.
7 years of experience in Natural Language Processing and functional Management in research and large-scale production environments in Japan and Europe (Microsoft, Hugging Face, Causaly AI, Google Japan, National Institute of Informatics).
PhD in progress in Applied Linguistics / Natural Language Processing: Linguistic Features, Datasets and Neural Architectures in text-based Affective Computing under the supervision of Prof. Ivo Hajnal.
Since 2017 I’ve been leading MLT, a community of ~11,000 members and an award-winning nonprofit organization working on open education, open source and open science in Machine Learning.
I was also co-leading the BigScience organization, a collaborative open science research project on large multilingual language models.
When I’m not working I’m usually out in nature 🏔, I love Yoga, cooking, eating 🍔 and playing chess 😍.
